Is there a way to increase the number of items in the search? When it shows up to 50 items in the search, I know there are a lot more items...

Yes, you could modify the source code to do it.

its highly inadvisable to use search function in game- it lag the hell out of a server.
use MySQL query browser for that - much faster and you can filter the search anyway you like
