I've got an EQEmu server up and running. Recently I've run into a problem where some zones won't load. For example, I had a monk try to zone into Iceclad. Zone.exe crashed. Now when I attempt to reload that save game it will either freeze or zone.exe will crash. If I attempt to load a character in Halas it works fine and I can play normally.

The best I can find from the logs is this:

09.29. - 12:25:04] [WORLD__CLIENT] Grim: Logged in. Mode=(CharSel)
[09.29. - 12:25:04] [WORLD__CLIENT] Grim: MiniLogin Account #1
[09.29. - 12:25:55] [WORLD__CLIENT] Grim: Attempting autobootup of iceclad (110:0)
[09.29. - 12:25:56] [WORLD__ZONE] [4] Setting to 'iceclad' (110:0)
[09.29. - 12:25:56] [WORLD__CLIENT] Grim: Entering zone iceclad (110:0)
[09.29. - 12:25:56] [WORLD__ZONE] [4] [iceclad] Broadcasting a world time update
[09.29. - 12:25:56] [WORLD__ZONE] [4] [iceclad] Setting to 'iceclad' (110:0)
[09.29. - 12:25:56] [WORLD__CLIENT] Grim: Sending client to zone iceclad (110:0) at localhost:7003
[09.29. - 12:25:56] [WORLD__CLIENT] Grim: Client disconnected (not active in process)
[09.29. - 12:25:58] [WORLD__ZONELIST] Removing zoneserver #4 at :7003
[09.29. - 12:25:58] [WORLD__ZONELIST] Hold Zones mode is ON - rebooting lost zone
[09.29. - 12:25:59] [WORLD__LAUNCH] zone: dynamic_04 reported state STOPPED (1 starts)
[09.29. - 12:26:09] [WORLD__LAUNCH] zone: dynamic_04 reported state STARTED (2 starts)

In my research I found a post that said to turn off Hold Zones mode. Anyone know how to do that?

Or any other suggestion would be great. It's frustrating because everything was working perfectly, including Iceclad, until recently.

There's a table in your database named variables. You can change the setting there.

I don't think that's going to change anything though. You should look through the zone logs for the crashed zone and see if there are any clues to why it is crashing.

Oh trust me I have. Repeatedly. I'm getting a pathing error, but that wouldn't cause the zone.exe file to crash or freeze.

09.29. - 12:25:56] Path File ./Maps/iceclad.path not found.

I'm getting a time error but again I don't think that would cause a crash.

[09.29. - 12:12:51] Could not load EQTime file eqtime.cfg

It's frustrating because I can log in and play... but some zones will crash zone.exe.
