i have installed the game followed the instructions, but i can't seem to change the target. it won't let me. is their anyway around this. Oh and i am trying to run this on windows 7 if that helps.

check admin settings, could be you need to run the game as an administrator in order for the change to the path to take affect.

You should just have to add the patchme argument at the end of your target. You don't need to change the whole folder path, just add the patchme at the end of whatever you currently have set.

all i do is add at the end and it says is not a valid pathway so it wont let me keep it there I WANT TO PLAY GRRR help.

Make sure you have a space between the path and the word "patchme". Also, make sure that you created your shortcut to eqgame.exe from the current folder it resides in. You should be able to find it in your EQ folder and right click on it to create a new shortcut, then drag that to your desktop.
