Task issue

Ok , I set up tasks to kill nagafen and vox, to make sure I tested with as few variables as possible, I just altered the task in tutorialb about killing nests, and cave bats all I did was change the goal ID to vox and the zone to permafrost. I then saved the task and #task reloadall

I can kill vox all day and it doesnt update the task. The vox im killing is the same dbspwn number as indexed in the quest. I went and killed cave bats and got the credit correct, but killing vox does not result in task stage completed.


I just want a task with activities set to kill vox, kill naggy, kill phinny, kill cazic, innorruuk, and spiroc lord and then give out an item.

It seems easy but im doing something wrong.

i am not a task expert, but there is a field which also indicates in which zone killing must take place.
Since you took a task from tutorial, it was set in that zone. you need to change zone to the one you have vox in.

yeah I changed that to soldungb, so in the task window it says Slay Nagafen status 0/1 in zone Nagafen's Lair

Still doesnt work.. I even spawn a 32040 in tutorialb to test and killed it... no task update.

Did you accidentally change the goal method? It should be 0 if you are using the NPC ID as goal ID.

Check these three things.

Goal ID = NPC ID
Goal Method = 0
Goal Count = 1

that was it, i had goal id to a goal section ID, and i had the npc id in that goal section ID. now it works! Thanks!
