Do not patch EQ tommorow, a new patch will be going up, it changes the playerprofile size and will not allow you to play. The release will be held back for this for a few days just incase if SOE needs to take the server down and change something after we fix it.
BTW: The next version of EQEMu will have a converter to allow the conversion from last patch to this, so you will not need to delete your characters.

I am crossing my fingers right now in hopes that I can get a fast update without having to worry about this. Because I didn't have any chance to make a backup before I lost the machine I play EverQuest on; and the last backup I have is from a few months ago. Why I am doing an update is beyond me, but the backup I restored from didn't have Velious, and I had to install Trilogy on top of that and now, updating; so hopefully is all well. If not, I can always revert back. :)
That rarely happens though, but when it does -- god does it hurt. Eww, looking at it now as I am downloading the files; seems I am too late. :( Hopefully, I get lucky though.

As of 8 PM PDT today, the current version of TestEverQuest works with the test server code on StarTeam. I also believe that the last release also has the correct changes to MyEQPlayer in order to use this next patch.
To use the new:
-Put at the top of eq_packet_structs.h a line that reads: #define TEST_SERVER
-You WILL need to wipe the character_ database after you implement the new code. You can't play old characters with the new test code. Unfortunatly, I was not able to get autoupgrade code in the emulator in time for the 0.3.9 release.
I hope this all helps you on patch day. Good luck!

Any chance the dev team could put out a modified playerprofile_info.txt for the admin tool once you update your eq_packet_structs.h?
