Hello everyone again, I am currently starting the the test for my first zone on my server, East Karana.

I currently Have the zone populated with loot, merchants..ect. My goal for this is too get a feel for the player base that is currently populating the eqemu world currently and get zome constructive feed back.

Quests I currently do not have in since I am still working on them and I would like to enjoy the last bit of my day off today, but they will be finished prior to this weekend coming up.

So to explain what is currently going on when you join on the server is that you start in East Karana, there are 3 out of several waring factions located in this zone alone The tribes of Karana (players), The Onon, and The Merkits each with their own set of skills and dynamics. The Onon are the strongest out of the factions and they're on a massive expansion into your territory. For the Merkits though little is known about them but they have sent a scouting party into your region.

The current level cap I have set is level 30, mind you with the current content you can only reach about level 18. I will be populating the corresponding zones after I've finished the quest hubs around East Karana and than I will be moving to North, South, West Karana's.

I would like people to Gauge the current difficulty of the server, there are mobs that are under-Conned and are meant for a group of 2 or more. There are also various camps around the region and Merchant towns. Also I would like some feed back on the current xp gain, if it is set at a good pace for the current level cap.

I do have a Spells Scribe until I get the spells in game, his name is Melschoi.

Anywho thank you for reading this post and I hope to see you in game or giving me some feed back on this posting or in a PM.

Thank you again.

hey there, logged in and played a couple of characters. one ogre sk to level 2, another magician, currently level 5.

I know you are in the early stages of development, so i am keeping this in mind as i post feedback.
First off i think you might want to consider thinning the mob population by about 20%, it's hard to run around with aggroing something.
Secondly a banker of sorts at the starting camp would be great. I have hundreds of copper on a level 5 mage, and no real way to convert it into larger coin.
Thirdly a basic trainer of sorts would be great. Even if all he does is set skills to 1. Not being able to meditate sucks.

Mobs -
The Onan are advertising weapons /shields but are rarely dropping anything.
I've killed many skeletons (25-30) and not a single one has dropped a bone chip yet. While bonechips might not be in the loot table, i am sure necromancers and shadowknights would appriciate their availability.
The Torlok or turok or whatever they are. Are not dropping any loot, and are a bit underconned for the damage they dish. While only level 4, those 10 point repeating nukes start to hurt when you are pretty much naked.
The widows are also not dropping any loot. While i am unsure of what they should be dropping besides webs of sorts and maybe a leg? Anything would be nice.

Merchants -
The Robe of the Karanas on Nate the Merchant is labeled Temporary. While i cannot afford this fine robe, I'd hope to keep it once i can afford it.

Ok there is the stuff i found so far.
I'm enjoying it though, even if it is only 1 zone.

Thank you for the feed back Phorest! I will have too look into those loot tables I know I set them but they may not be dropping at a high enough rate. I did over populate the initial area because people were complaining that there were not enough mobs to find.

Once you start to venture more towards nate it evens out a bit, mind you the wandering packs will hurt if you engage them. I know I have webs legs and fangs off the spiders for quests I will be imputing tonight after I clean my apartment.

Now how was leveling for only progressing to level 30? was it too quick, will people be able to burn through the content in a few nights?

Thank you again

Also, I decided to take out those Lizards, they really are going to serve no purpose to there is no reason to put them in. Like you said I have quite a bit running around that area and you can use that way as a safe passage.
