We are trying to keep the old EQ challenge and feel but remove some major hinderences and maintain a playable balance considering the smaller population of a EQEmu server where there are not thousands online at a time.
The server is open for testing this weekend, if it goes well it will be transferred to our dedicated server and open for public play. If you find any bugs please /bug them for review.
The server currently runs on a 3.2ghz Quad core PC with Solid state drives for testing. After testing it will be transfered to our dedicated Dell server with (2) 3ghz Dual core Xeon processors and (6) 15K RPM SCSI drives in a RAID 5 array. I may drop a SSD in it to run the game server from.
Server was tested with Underfoot, SOD and Titanium, no other clients were tested.
Highest expansion is Kunark currently, the server will progress to SoL eventually (Kunark > Velious > SOL).
Bots - allowed to spawn up to five for a full group.
XP rates are a little above that of live, level 60 cap.
No XP loss until level 15.
No Item loss on death, re-spawn with all items. Empty corpses are left for RES.
When you level you will get your skills and spells for the level automaticly.
Soulbinder in each starting city and at what used to be LDoN camps.

- Set expansion limit to Kunark for now.
- Lowered MOB Stats and HP's to balance fights for smaller population.
- Lowered aggro radius a bit.
- Tweaked some drops back to old world stats instead of modern nerfed versions.
- Current Hot Zones:
- Mistmoore
- Befallen
- Blackburrow
- Gukbottom
- Kedge
- OOT
- Warrens
- Runnyeye
- Stonebrunt

Tested various zones at various levels for balance

Most boats work but are very slow so I added Translocators on docks and verified thier links, this includes Kunark travel points.
