I am having a recurring issue that I cant seem to figure out.
First off.. I am running 6 EQ instances on 2 seperate computers. Both cpus are running Win7. I am using the UF client, along with MQ2 and WinEQ. I have one computer logging into the server via eqemu login, and the other logging in through the servers private login. While this is the first time this has happened on this server (PEQ) It has happened previously to me on THF.
I can be running along fine, and zone into a zone (one I have been in and raided in, generally within a day or two before at the latest) and crash to the account/PW screen. I am able to load back in all the way to character select, but the character will not load into the zone. It specifically says ("The server can not be reached" followed by "You have been disconnected") If I have someone move that character out of the zone, I can load them in fine in the new zone, but the affected zone I am still unable to zone in. Generally 5 to 12 hours later I can zone into that zone fine. This is random, the zones have varied but can be the same. I have had it happen in Skyfire, Dreadspire and most recently Plane of Disease.
Oh.. did I mention both systems are doing this? Oh and one is hard wired to the router, while the other is wireless.
I am guessing its a port/router issues with some type of random assignment of the zone ports. I have opened, or ensured they were open, all the ports I could find associated with EQemu. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I am incredibly frustrated.
Also, all antivirus/firewalls are down. I dont run a bunch of extraneous programs in the background. Rebooting the computers/router doesnt resolve the problem, nor does starting a barebones EQ client wihtout MQ, etc. I have had it happen on Titanium and on UF. I think I have covered most of the software/hardware troubleshooting.
Thanks in advance for any assistance. This essentially makes raiding impossible as I never know if I can zone in today or not.
