View Full Version : I have failed to make it work! (Spells are out of date)

Hi, I posted this also on the 1999 forums, since that's what I found EQEMU through. But I'd really like to play and I don't care what server it's on. :)

I have followed all of the instructions using Titanium. I have managed twice to get past "loading servers... timed out" and to the char creation screen. At which point, it tells me my spells are out of date and that I cannot proceed.

My PC is windows 8 and it doesn't get along well with steam, so I am hoping against all hope not to have to go that route.

I've created the eqhost file (which was a huge PITA). I've created the link on the desktop (shortcut).

I honestly don't know what else to do, and I've been at this for almost 3 weeks. At this point, I'd desperate and would really appreciate any help at all. I want to play on pre-velious graphics, if that matters.

Anyway, my greatest thanks to anyone who's able to assist me in actually getting to play!

This issue in particular pertains to P99's custom client enhancements and is not part of standard EQEmulator code.

I would post on their forums (which you've already done) and use their EQEmuLauncher tool to make sure your files are up to date.
