Your going to love it or hate it, so far we've had great reviews.

We've made a WOW private server, but with EQ elements. As a long-time EQ lover myself, and still a huge fan. I wanted to recreate that content in a more seamless world. Not the easymode WOW people are used to but a challenging, difficult, everquest-like world. Its impractical to recreate everything, of course. But we can recreate some of the favorite contents such as the pantheons of gods, and planar raids, epics, etc. And tweak the existing WOW content to make it much more EQ like. Thoughts, suggestions, rants, hateposts, death threats, Love to hear your feedback.

Ya, project fell apart before we could get it popular last time due to lack of help. Have more funds now to play with and this is a long-time passion of mine. Its in early beta phase now, but we are adding content quickly and the more players who want to test things out with us and help with balancing (and themes, content, suggestions, voting on server details, etc) ESPECIALLY EQ players will be a huge awesome:)

And the game is 100% playable now, we just havent added the custom raids or epic quests yet

we have short (10-20second) reboots sometimes to update content, since we are in beta, its possible you hit on one of those?

i Already had a 3.3.5 wow client on my pc so i made an account and just copied the realmlist over.

Its obvious this is a very very early stage of the game. I dont see any mention of Everquest anywhere on this server atm.

I could use some more info as to how you guys are making this a everquest type of server but with the wow client.

I see a huge amount of potential for useing the wow client but im not sure if the the data base can be edited good enough to actually make it seem like a fully functional EQ world.

Anyways my ign is malicre, ore shaman.

You know, I gave up on World of Warcraft because I didn't like how it was built, re-reading this, I think I will spend my spare time, when I'm not DEVin' Uthra on this server, got an hour left on the download!

I checked the server out. I can't find any references to EQ or anything like that. It seems like regular old WoW 3.3.5...

Update: Crushbone is complete! level 1-10 area. Its not yet accessible (we dont have the teleporter made) but i am happy to summon players there who want to experience it. Contact me in game at Xanatos (horde side) or at Xanatos at triad.rr.com

It could work...EQ lore in a wow world might be cool. It really boils down to how its implemented.

I am pretty sure that the WOW world is static like the EQ zones correct? What I mean is that the base world cannot be edited correct? That would be a challenge in itself it seems.

Progress is coming along. While I cannot re-create EQ exactly - its fairly simple to capture the spirit of a thing. I took an unused orc fortress in WoW and populated it with Crushbone orcs. I took another area nearby, threw some buildings in it, and filled it with undead and beetles to create Unrest. Im not sure what to do next (which eq zone to re-invent) but this covers the 1-10 and 10-20 leveling zones.

thoughts? suggestions?

Lower Guk lvl 30-40 area is now complete, dead and live side...best area yet!

I think kael Drakkel will be next.. just gotta find a place for it.

for now I am using places in WoW that are not currently being used. Eventually may move to replacing existing wow content with more player input..

Once you login you can access portstones that take you to the appropriate leveling areas

Hi everyone , I downloaded the client and tried to go to the web page today and it says it cant connect to it . Anyone else having this problem ?

Hey Grindle, sorry about the trouble - Apparently the host had an issue and closed it down last night! The server itself is up but its hard to make an account without the website I understand and apologize over the difficulties.

If you'd like, you can Email me at Xanatos at triad dot rr dot com and let me know what account/pass you'd like and i can do it manually, or you can wait a few until my web guy logs into skype (hopefully) to get it sorted.

Thanks for your patience, still in the beta phase but began working on plane of fear last night.. very excited about possibilities. May even be able to throw in some Custom EQ classes and potentially even races
