build and peq db 2/15/2014.

Did I goof? Searching the forums I expected others reporting the wrong model being displayed for orc runner in nektulos.

Suggestions?

Suggestions on where to begin or strategy to identify root cause?

Either your global load or the chr file for the zone doesn't have that model in it.

lerxst2112,

Are these client side files? Don't mind hunting through them but appreciate any additional details you can provide.

yes all those files are client side - installed within your EQ Client folder.

The globalload is in the Everquest\Resources folder

and the others can be found in the root

Thank you, guys. I will take a peek and ask questions if googling or forum searches do not provide me further guidance.

Dunge0nMastr aka Bront,

I noticed you are using the older nektulos and lavastorm on your server Kildrukaun's Prophecy. Benefits? I typically play DE, so thinking it may be advantages to do the same.

I very much appreciate your time. Thank you.

EDIT: His name is Doug btw. (at least that's what live devs call him)

Thank you, Demonstar55.

The UF Missing Files List page references Nektulos as a zone that underwent changes, however, reviewing the list of files, I am not seeing Nektulos. Is the file listed under something other than Nektulos or ?

Moving forward now with reviewing the files with my RoF client and the list of Titanium and Live files.

I copied all the Titanium files as directed in the UF missing files wiki. I was not missing any files, but several did differ in size and, obviously, date stamp. My initial test resulted without the mob in the zone.

I appreciate your patience and help.

Update: Orc Runner in Nektulos continues to be the default human male model.

I am using the 12/11/2012 RoF client. I will continue to review the client files, but not seeing the problem. I have no doubt it was a mistake on my part.

Appreciate any further advice.

Its just a preference for the old zone compared to the new one. We decided we wanted to keep our classic zones relatively classic as opposed to the revamps etc.

Ok, so looking at it from the other side, what is the Race, Texture and Gender of the orc_runner [id: 25438] in your database?

Dagulus2,

(Sorry for delay, got distracted with fighting svn/git and bots.)

Verified orc_runner is indeed 25438 using #npcstats.

From PEQ from 2/15/2014:
select race, texture, gender from npc_types where id = 25438;
54, 1, 2

So that is the old-school orc, which will not display in the revamped Nektulos.

Mob 25438 is only on spawngroup 61437 named Nek3_OrcRoamers, which is only set to spawn in version 1 of Nektulos, which it seems to me is the revamped version.

So I think it is a bug in the database and you should change the NPCs race to 458 (the new orc).

Fixed! and you were correct, it was a non-orange vest orc (new).

Thank you, dagulus2.

So, if I run into another odd model, how do I determine the correct one independently? I am not shy asking for help, but I do try to first resolve the issue and search the forum--forum search does not work very well, before bugging you all.
