Returning player here. I just reinstalled the game after a couple of years or so. I still have my old login(s), they work. I enter my username and password. I can see every server / population. If I click on any of them, I just get instantly sent back to having to enter my username and password again.

Titanium. I posted this over at the P1999 forums, going to copy and paste:
Ok got the game working on my laptop. Same router/modem as my desktop - and the laptop is wireless and the desktop is wired. So I don't think it's a network issue. Both are running windows 7.
Desktop still punts to login regardless of what I do. WinEQ2 running or not. Full screen or not. Tried running in Win XP SP3 and Win XP SP2 compatibility modes. Still same thing.
Desktop specs if helpful:
AMD 9590 (8 core)
EVGA Nvidia 680
Asus republic of gamers Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard
ADATA 256gb SSD
ADATA DDR 2400 mhz Ram (2 x 4 gigs)
Both laptop and desktop are running Windows 7 64 bit. Laptop is 4 core AMD as well. I was even able to just copy EQ (unmodified, other than EQlite) from a flash drive to the laptop and it booted right up with no issues at all.

P1999 does not run a pure eqemu kernal. This really needs to be directed to the admins on their website.
Did you mistakenly use port 5999 in your eqhosts.txt file? I should be 5998.
Also, I believe they use some sort of binary modification for their clients..make sure to check for this on their forums and ensure it's applied, if applicable...

Using port 5998. It kicks me regardless of whether I try to connect to P1999 or another server though.
