Hello,

I am reading the "getting started" section and see that that steam has a version of EQ that I could download. The tutorial doesn't provide much detail as to getting that working with the steam version. Does it work? What additional steps might I have to take to get emulator setup with the Steam version of EQ?

None of the clients you can currently download from Steam will work with EQEmu. There is partial support for a client you could download if you had a time machine, but chances are you do not.

Integration is a very tedious and time-consuming task...

As far as I know, there is no one working on the current steam client..but, it is on my long list of things to do.

Does anyone have the link to the torrent that will work? The last one I tried to get gave me a virus..

It is against EQEmulator rules to discuss this on the forums. We can't do anything if you use google to find them and download them, but it is against the rules to discuss it or provide links.
