Limited connections to a server?

Ive been having issues once my server number hits 4 or 5 it now longer allows other to even connect its rather annoying I want to raise this number upon install I left it at the standard allowance 500 and i know im well short of 500 connections any reason to why i cant log in more then 5 on my server at one time or this just a random error?

Are each of the 5 people in different zones? If so, do you only have the default 5 zones up?

I have allowance for upto 25 or 30 zones, more then enough.

[Secrets]

Type /servers ingame. That will show available booted zones.

If you have more than 5 booted and sleeping for dynamics it may be an issue with port forwarding where the first 5 zone ports are the only ports forwarded.
