I'm looking for two honest developers if anyone is interested. Both positions require perl scripting & database experience/knowledge. There is no community established yet for this project so this is my stake in the ground. See: http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38555 for more information about the server itself and the progress that has been made over the past few months. Below are both positions so apply (by pm'ing me) if you think you can fill those shoes. An ideal candidate should be able to talk over ventrilo or skype so that we can go over everything. IRC is fine but voice chat is preferred. Also, please don't apply if you can only dedicate 1 hour a month. I'm looking for rapid development as this is what I've been doing over the past few months to get this out. I need good developers that can tell me that my ideas are bad if they are. And I should also note that I realize that this is not a paying position so in retrospect, "beggars cannot be choosers" but I will be very careful in choosing who I bring on in order to avoid potential disasters (http://wiki.eqemulator.org/p?So_You_Want_to_Manage_A_Server?&frm=Main#warnings). This project requires a form of dedication that only really comes from an innate passion for doing what we do. Oh and one more thing, I know that this project will always come second to family and life... I'm not asking for you to dedicate a consistent 14 hours a week or anything like that... Just enough to make a real impact towards the progression of the project.

Lead Developer (Position Filled)
Ideal Experience & Knowledge
I. Fluent EQEMU Source Knowledge
II. Fluent SQL Knowledge
III. Ability to focus on one task despite how boring it becomes.
- If you can't write simple select statements or perl scripts, this position isn't for you.
Position Description
Write source/database additions/modifications & scripts that affect a variety of in-game mechanics such as npc ai, client events and the list could go on. This doesn't sum up everything but pretty much, you'd be my partner in directing the server as a whole.

Champion Designer & Content Specialist (Database Work & Script Work)
Ideal Experience & Knowledge
I. Knowledge covering basic EQ Client modifications (spells, ui, etc).
II. Experience with custom spell design & implementation.
III. Experience in item creation & overall world commands.
IV. Experience with writing custom event scripts via Perl.
V. Experience with the EoC Suite of editors is a plus. (PEQ Editor, etc).
Position Description
This critical position requires less direct code work and orbits closer to content development. Players choose champions that they'd like to play in each match and this is where you come in. You will be the one conceptualizing & designing (at the database & scripting level) feasible champions that players can play as, items that they can purchase in matches, abilities/spells that they can use as they level up and many other facets that affect gameplay. More complex designs that require extensive code-work in source and/or scripts can be offset to myself or the lead developer.

The development team I am looking for is a 3-man group including myself. GM/Guide positions are not even a thought yet. This project is not as huge as Project 1999 and requires less staff however, it does require a tight knit team that works well together. I want to trust everyone to take ownership over their position and make just decisions that don't require micro management.
