zone unavailable

Having an issue entering the world. I can login and create a character, but get a "zone unavailable" error after about 15 seconds. I sourced in the appropriate .sql files from git/required. No errors in the server console windows either. Here is a crash report. Any help greatly appreciated.

I had this problem also when I was updating my build and using my old tables from 1 year ago. Only way i could fix it was starting over with everything fresh. I hope someone else can give you a quicker shortcut than what I had to do though.

I've built the server from scratch three times so far. I'm tempted to try an older server (1.1.1?) release with a peq database that is closer to the date of the server release. Maybe the fourth time is the true charm!

I had to build it all x86, i was running into issues tryen to build as x64. Which version are you trying?

EDIT : I cannot personally understand all that error code myself. Maybe someone who can will post something and help with a more simple solution

There's a problem with Perl. Looks like you're using 32 bit Perl 5.16. Is that correct?

Build x86, use Perl 5.12.3 - http://wiki.eqemulator.org/p?Installing_Perl_DBI_and_other_Modules

If you can't handle the build process on your own, maybe it might be better to go the repack route.

I was using Perl 5.16, but removed 5.16 and installed Perl 5.12.3 and still get the zone available error. The guide should be updated since the suggested Perl link takes you to a directory that does not have the 5.12 installer. I did eventually find the download link to 5.12.3 in the repository.

I know I can install the repack (and did successfully on a VM), but the fun and experience is building from scratch and learning from mistakes. ;) The repack is great and I commend your efforts.
