How would I go about making the starting area the individual cities again instead of the mines? Would like the mine to be an option but not always the spot every toon starts in

Yes I would like to disable to mandatory glooming deep mines start zone ... I would like to make it an option though for people who like it

There may be some issues if 'unchecking' the tutorial button still sends them to Gloomingdeep.
Otherwise, the only way to make it optional is to allow the use of the tutorial button.
Are players being sent to the tutorial with the tutorial button unchecked?
If so, what client versions are affected?

hmm Uleat where can I uncheck it at? The Start_Zones table doesn't make much sense to me.

The character select 'Tutorial' button.
That's the only place to make it optional for the user because that's the only place that will communicate the user's choice
back to the server.
It should default to their 'starting city' if the tutorial button is unchecked at character creation time.
It's usually 'selected' by default (client settings,) but it is incumbent on the user to choose at that time.
