You can thank Akkadius for that. He did an amazing job on the new logging. Here is the wiki page that covers the features of the new logging system in detail. I highly suggest every server operator review this page as it has some extremely useful information:

http://wiki.eqemulator.org/p?Logging_System_Overhaul&frm=Main

In particular, the new #logs command you can use from in-game is amazing. Being able to see what is going on in real-time from your chat logs is one of the most useful tools EQEmu has ever had. You can also change these in your logsys_categories tables, but using the command in-game lets you toggle on what you want on a per zone basis and it is temporary so you get what you want when and where you want it.

Tne new quest::debug() command is really amazing as well. You can add debug messages in your perl scripts and use the #logs commands to enable/disable the debug output at any time. I made hotkeys for turning these on and off and it works great.

Taking time to read it now.

Yes, please read it and understand it, it is extremely powerful.

Thanks everyone for the PM's and messages. We don't do this for thanks but it most certainly helps when you show appreciation for who puts in serious work to get things done. Lots of other folks busting their hump to make things better in the community.

And I hope and well, know that the logging overhaul will allow us to be far more efficient as server operators, developers and as a whole.
