Mentioned this in another thread and discovered its an issue only effecting me. Whenever ever I chose option 5 to update the opcodes, it always hangs after installing the first few.
This seems to be the issue.
Downloading (underfoot) File: 'patch_underfoot.conf'...
Error, no connection to the internet...
404 not found at eqemu_update.pl line 287, <> line 1.
127.0.0.1:10689: TCPConnection::SendData(): Send(): Errorcode: 10054
And yes, i am connected to the internet when running it. ;o)

You'll need to get the newest eqemu_update.pl (renamed from db_update.pl).

My eqemu_update.pl file is dated 26-01-2015.
db-update.pl is dated 25-01-2015.
Is there something I need to set to make it use the renamed file?

Are you using Akkas repack? Or did you use the windows install guide?

Windows install guide.
Have you fetched the latest source, recompiled and launched the new binaries?

Yes, I do that pretty much daily right now.
I unfortunately don't remember when it stopped working for me, or if indeed it ever did.

Are you running this in script or is it failing when you run world.exe? If not, try to run it manually.
Go to your EQEmuServer directory and open a command prompt.
Type: perl eqemu_update.pl
hit 5 for opcodes.
Could not hurt to try :)

hehe thats just odd. I just created a Windows 10 VM, downloaded and compiled latest source, and it works fine for me. Just very strange.
Why don't you just compile the latest source and copy the opcodes over manually?
What OS are you using also?

Seems the best plan. Where can I find the opcodes to copy them manually?
Windows 7.

patch_underfoot.conf was renamed to patch_UF.conf FYI

Well that presumably explains why it can't find it online.
Which just leaves, 'why is it looking for it in the first place'.

Delete your eqemu_update.pl, run world again to get a fresh new copy.
https://github.com/EQEmu/Server/blob/master/utils/scripts/eqemu_update.pl#L328
This change has been made a while ago, though it should have updated the script.
