Just wanted to compliment the current "Complete Windows-based Server Setup Guide (Windows 7+)" on the Wiki:
http://wiki.eqemulator.org/p?Complete_Windows-based_Server_Setup_Guide&frm=Main
My compliments to the Chef :)
My first crack at compiling, I missed one tiny little reference to installing MySQL, just because I was too used to the old system.(my bad).
Making sure to install ALL components to hard drive, missing that gave me some grief and compile gave only "11 succeeded, 2 failed".
But after it was compiled properly, it was only a few "modern" changes to search for and work out with private login. Having to add user name and password in the config loginserver, etc.
As for the current peq, it's just a matter of liking that content and still loving all the work I put in to my 4 year old DB. Need to put them both in to a mixing bowl and come up with a great recipe, lol
THANKS TO ALL the developers who continue the progress (especially mercs), just so people like me can have a home version of EQ.
