Quick Q bout DB/server stuff

ok, i have been running my own server for a bit, and i just now realized the source files (all the .cpp things and such) but i was wondering how the heck do i use those files to update what i already got? is there a special place to put them etc. could use a little help there... and heck im sure once i find out i will kick myself but none the less a little help here would be nice

You need a compiler to build them into executables with..

No offense, but if you dont know what a cpp file is for, you're probably not going to be able to figure out how to compile them successfully in a short period of time. For windows you'll need to understand how to use VC6 (Visual C++ compiler for windows) and how the compiler works.

oh ok, no offense taken, still on a huge learning curve with this stuff. will look into that stuff a bit more, ty

It just takes time to learn is all, I encourage you to give it a shot and see how you do (copies of Visual Studio 6 should be pretty cheap these days).

The other option is to ask someone to compile changes for you.
