loging server password

I know my login server password, and wanted to change it. Apparently I messed up due to my shift key being stuck. Now it says I can't change it "too many failed attempts may have blocked you from the system" is that temporary block for x amount of hours or do I have to contact somebody to reset that or?

Like I still have access and everything works fine, I just can't change it to another.
