How do I ungroup the buttons to move each one individualy around? I have the taskbar set to Never Combine if that is your suggestion.

I have 2 installs, each with different video sizes. When I launch the characters, the buttons are grouped together by the install they were started from. Like on SOD, I would like the ability to move a single button to a different position on the taskbar without all of them moving too.

Is this a Win7, MQ2, or EQgame.exe thing???

I found this that might help. I will try it tonight.

Copy the following into a text file and name it "eq.reg".
Then run it from where you saved it.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\eqgame.exe]
"IsHostApp"=""

"Some applications do not declare an explicit AppUserModelID. They are optional. In that case, the system uses a series of heuristics to assign an internal AppUserModelID."

That means Windows guesses if/how windows are grouped. the exact criteria are not specified, so hard to know what change caused the behavior change, however:

"When an application uses multiple processes, apply the AppUserModelID to each process. Whether you use the same AppUserModelID on each process depends on whether you want each process to appear as part of the main application or as individual entities."

Note: it works by injecting into explorer, not sure if anti-cheats would like this :P

I did this and it worked. I can move the taskbar buttons to where ever I want them to be! (RoF2)

--Create a new text file
--Paste the Code below into it
--Save and close
--Rename to eq.reg
--Double click accepting popup boxes

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\eqgame.exe]
