View Full Version : What clients should I keep?

Hi all,

I have EQ Titanium and EQ UF on my local drive.

I have SoD and SoF on a flash drive in my filing cabinet.

Which ones will be most likely used by the EMU?

I'm told Titanium and UF are the ones that are popular with the EMU and EMU users, but the wiki lists different versions as well.

What is recommended to keep for EQEmu / use to play now and in the future?

I don't want to keep things I may not need, and I want to make sure I keep things I may need, if I will need other client versions.

Thanks again.

Keeping things and keeping things active are two totally different concepts.

If I had copies that I wasn't using..they would definitely be in storage mode (You never know when you may need
a specific file from an older client...)

Each client 'usually' provides new features over its predecessors.

If I weren't playing on a server that required an older client, I would target something UF+, myself.

As far as support..excluding a possible change to Titanium support..we try to keep all listed clients functional to the
limits of the server code.

That doesn't mean that all features from any client will work because not all features have been implemented.

We try to implement features and correct bugs as people post them..but, that does require feedback from the
community.

I understand... Thanks. :)

I'd make backup copies of all of them anyway. Stuff happens, and never at a good time.

Storage is cheap, I keep every one I can find.
