We are in testing right now, a small group of us are getting the bugs out of the game by actually leveling and correcting things that are not in era. We are in continuous development, players are asked to help improve the server by reporting out of era differences. No server reset will be happening.

The server is actually in a locked state mainly because we are testing, this is why you will not see a population just yet. I have let certain people play on the server that are honest about reporting bugs and helping do the research needed. Opening will be July 1 at 8am.

Will there be classic items like the goblin loot in Butcherblock that was good for plat at low levels and rat tails selling for a few plat a piece?

Well the cut off for anything is the day before Luclin release. If it existed then it will be added if needed. Many things have been put back in like Bone Chip quest, Gnoll Fang, Froglock Tadpole Fleshies, Fire Beetle eyes. It will take time to get everything right but I am working diligently.

But to answer your question, yes. The Green Goblin blood was changed in 2006, so we will have the pre-nerfed price.

I've been helping some with testing on this server and have played on Chronicles of Norrath before, which is another server of Provocating. I've always been happy with how things are being handled. But guess, else he wouldnt have invited me for testing :roll:

Hopefully we can get a reasonable playerbase established and keep the drama low. The people that were testing so far are all nice and helpful. Yet also selfish, stubborn and weird. ;)

I can't remember whwn it opened. I know itbwas before PoPn but is jaggedpine and the warrens open on that server? It will make a difference on what race I choose and where I begin. Thanks.

We are the day before Luclin was released, so Warrens is in, but not Jaggedpine.

The Warrens - March 14, 2001.
Stonebrunt Mountains - August 29, 2001.

The Warrens was a huge decision maker on the cut off point for this server. It is such a well designed zone, I wanted to leave it in.

I am surprised at the number of people who have logged in and did not even get through level 1. They gave up because it was too difficult. It only takes 4 bone chips to go from 1 to 2 (or other newbie quest).

Old world is hard. Old world thrives on grouping. There are no twinks, because those items have yet to be discovered. Is the server perfect? No, of course not. But, it needs people to give it a real chance.

Today, we have had two main groups of characters. Crushbone is a popular spot. The Iskar invasion has begun.

Global OOC was enabled yesterday afternoon. If you are looking for a challenging and social experience this server is it.

Yeah it is a ton of fun. not fast exp. No one using MQ . It's just a fun old school style server with everything open to velious. .. Get a few bonechips and do a turn in , you'll be level 4 in an hour or so. It's challenging. it's about enjoying old school EQ without the p99 militant mindset.. (like i said before)

Challenging is certainly a good word. I took a look last night to kill some time, and my character's kill:death ratio against level 1 enemies was about... 2:10. No typo.

That problem of having a too hard time at low lvls has been resolved a while ago.

Yea. That's why I stopped playing there.While It's a "fun old school" style server. The lack of player population makes it boring and tedious. Having no way to box a healer makes it even more boring. Hours on end of soloing only goes so far. You are better off playing p99.

I have a few newbie characters here great server less harsh than p99 but still isnt a handout just right except population is low which could hinder goals later on and even leveling up for certain classes. Bump though as the more the merrier!

We have a solid "core" of steady players. New blood to chat in /ooc or to group with on alts would be awesome.

Perfectly stable but population wasnt ever more than 4-5 counting GM so I couldnt hang around as my favorite main just isnt a great solo class viable but meh I would come back If say a guild started and actually had planned group nights etc

If a year from now this server still has a peak population of 4-5 is there any chance of boxing ever being on the table?

If you want boxing, bots or any of those things there are like 40+ servers on the list to fill that need. My other server Chronicles of Norrath has that also.

So far two gm events one was in Greater Faydark near Orc Hill, and the other was near Butcherblock docks.

Everyone came out helped and had plenty of loots,and hours of fun. Thanks again Prov for the fun times.
