Seriously though, is there any way to reset the SMS Verification phone number? When I set mine up over a year ago, I used my (only) phone number: my work cell phone. Now, I am getting a personal cell phone (Hello, Google Fi) and would like to transfer the account reclaim number to my personal number. That, and I'll be leaving my company and losing access to my old phone + phone number.
Does it have to be reset by an admin?
So, the day has come. My last day of working for my current employer is on next Tuesday, October 6th. After that I will not have access to my work phone, which is the registered phone number on my SMS retrieval account.
I now have my own personal phone number, but no way to change it using the SMS verification system. Could an administrator please contact me regarding updating my account's SMS retrieval number, please?
I can provide all the current passwords, I still have access to my current retrieval number, so if a GM wanted me to confirm, I could send him or her a text or phone call from both the old number and the new number.
If I could get some help with this within the next week (before I lose my number on the 6th) it would be of huge relief to me. Thank you, admins!
