Screen Blackout After Server Select

I just re-dowloaded the Steam client and did all the eq emu setup. When I log in, and select a server and try to log in, the EQ game screen goes black and stays there. I've tried messing with the settings but I've had no success..

Any ideas?

EDIT: I did not rewrite the references..but, hopefully those changes will help in context.
