Mana disappearing

So I had 100% mana and I casted Clarity on myself and it dropped down to 10%. This with a 26 Enchanter with 657 mana. I saw it happen some other times but thought it was lag or something, now I know something is freaky.

I also noticed that when I die, I respawned with only 59% mana on that character.

I thought something was odd. My necromancer was having that happen as well...or at least I think it is. I thought maybe I forgot about a game element since I haven't played in awhile.
