Ok so I THINK the lootdrop multiplier means that the item will drop multiple copies of itself.
So if I set the lootdrop multiplier for a water flask to 4, does that means if the water flask drops, it will drop 4 water flasks?

In my experience it will drop *up to* that many, but maybe someone has a more technical explanation for how it works.

It means that drop will roll 4 times. Total drops are controlled by the loottable settings.

I am seeing multiples of the same item dropping, even if the Drop Limit is set to 1. For instance, Velishoul's Tome Pg.44 has a drop limit of 1 in the Loot Table, but a multiplier of 2 set in the Loot Drop table. When I kill the NPC, it drops 2 Velishoul's Tome Pg. 44.
Could this explain why I see multiple drops of the same item?
