View Full Version : Unable to connect to server

I followed the instructions as far as installing Titanium, changing the host file, and pointing the launch icon to eqgame.exe patchme, but when I launch I get the Everquest login screen, I put in my user name and pw I created here, and after maybe 10-15 seconds I get that I can't connect to server.
How can I figure out what's going wrong?
I'm running Windows 10, if that matters.
Thanks!

Are others here able to log in using Everquest Titanium on a Windows 10 PC? I'm trying to figure out what I might need to do to at least get past the login screen.
I think that the host file and my execution string is correct, as the program does not try to update -- it goes right to the Everquest Login screen where I put in my User Name and Password (I use the User name and Password I created here).
As I mentioned, I click it and it takes about 10 seconds or so then comes back with a message that it can't connect to the server, check to see that I have internet access, etc.
It isn't even getting to the point where it would check my ID or password, because I've put in random stuff too and I get the same message back.
My host file directs the game to: eqemulator.net:5998
Are there any screenshots that show the steps for logging in? I'm assuming I'm at the correct screen to log in, but for whatever reason, I'm just not connecting to the server even though I have the host file edited.
I also uninstalled and did the whole thing from scratch again, but get the same results.
Thanks,
PDG

For any servers that support titanium client:
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998

Thanks, Huppy, that worked.... for whatever reason, the instructions I read (that came with the EQ Titanium files), said to edit the host file to Host=eqemulator.net:5998, NOT Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998! When I read the instructions on this site, I read right over that difference and didn't even SEE the login before the eqemulator!
