Hi,
I am just getting back into project1999 and I cant access my old account. The login info has been changed. I tried to log onto my account on project1999 and wasn't able to get on but they had my email address in their system, but for some reason I cant receive the password reset email. I think my login server account is tied to the eqemulator forum, which my password has also been changed and the site didn't recognize any of my email addresses. when I look at my old account, ( that matches my login server info and matches my birthday, and has the same creation date as my project1999 account (so I would assume I used the same email address when creating it). I thought that I may have used another email account so I requested a partial email hint from the eqemulator administrator, and haven't heard back yet. I looked at my old account again and it said the last login date was a few days after my first child was born (which was already a few years since I had gotten on eq) so I know it wasn't me who accessed it which is why is assume I was hacked.
If someone hacked me and changed the email, would it make it so the site doesn't recognize the creation email address? Is there a way to do a forum petition or something? what can I do at this point? I think I can sort of prove who I am through both account creation dates, the similarities for my account names to my email address and my login tied to my real name and my accounts connected to my birthday. Maybe?
anyways, it would be great to be able to get my old character back, and any help would be appreciated,
