View Full Version : "a water moccasin" shows as bald human

It's been a while since I read about this, but I think I read this is caused by missing or incorrect files on the client? I have been using the underfoot client for several years and thought I had all the correct files.
Can someone please tell me what file(s) I need to fix this?

I figured out how to solve this issue. There does not appear to be anything wrong with my underfoot clients. All I did to fix this was to go to the npc_types table and found "a_water_moccasin". In Rathe Mountains, they were spawning as a bald human male. I changed the Race from 37 to 468. Both show as snake, but with 468, the model is the appropriate snake.
Problem solved for this npc. Now to go look elsewhere for similar npcs that need fixed...

If you support Titanium, you may want to check that client.

Thanks for that advice. I checked and they still show as human males with either 37 or 468, with titanium. I'm a bit confused now. Is this a database issue or a client issue?

Sometimes a gender issue. Maybe a client issue. The client may not have the model, but maybe the model isn’t in that zone load file.

The snk model is in the load file for the zone. Rathe Mountains was reworked several times with a bit rework when the frogloks were moved there. Not sure whether that was before or after Titanium though.
