Going LD as soon as I enter world

For some reason, as soon as I select my character and load up EQ I begin to go LD right away, its not even enough time to type a single command before I start to watch my packetloss reach 100.
im on Windows 2k, using minilogin, pretty slow processor (733celeron) but i was able to run it fine before. Dunno what to do heh.

I have the same problem with my computer (celeron 333 though) when using minilogin...

What I did was I killed the minilogin after I connected to my server and that helped (most of the times - sometimes I can still have mayor lag, but then I just close everything down and try again till my "connection" is good).

So use EQW and tap out and kill the minilogin window after you have connected to the server (or when you reach the character window)... You can see when the minilogin is done when it types the line, something like:

Closing down connection YOUR.IP.GOES.HERE... blah blah...

Then it should be safe to kill it - hope that helps, did for me
