sorry Im just learning here, if someone installs their own server do we need any kind of special permission to use that public login or do we just follow instructions to patch into it?

If they have their login server through eqemu, you can just login to their server. Usually you only have to patch for special servers like 1999. Some servers like mine for example have a list of recommened files to remove/replace to make all the classic zones work properly. But you would still be able to login.

Thanks for your reply,I apologize if yall misunderstood, would be my fault. I was asking about needing any permisson to use that eqemu public login server for my own server to connect to,but I used patch into, instead for words Sorry about that yall, but I think I got it figured now, thank you.
