BOTs not working and eqemu_server.pl closes right after I launch it

I have some troubles with the program though.

So I ran the program listed on https://eqemu.gitbook.io/server/categories/installation/server-installation-windows and I followed the directions to set up my own server. BTW I am using Windows 10. I follow the commands to set up bots, but Im not sure if that took, so I went to assets and updated the bots there. I installed Secrets of Faydwer and edited the right files so I could login to my server. I was able to successfully login to my server and enter the Mines of Gloomdeep. My problems happens when I try to create a bot. I followed the commands with name Class ID and Race and I get the message "failed to query name availability" so I did some research on the forums and people say run eqemu_server.pl and update the bots that way, but that's when I run into trouble. When I attempt to launch eqemu_server.pl it goes to a black command screen and then closes a second later. Happens every time. Please help me fix this. What can I do to get some bot buddies joining me on my quests.

Same exact thing happens to me. Can't install bots, tells me server isn't compiled or something. Then the eq_server.pl opens and closes instantly without allowing me to see or check errors.

I had a similar issue a few hours ago but was able to get around it after a bit of tinkering online.. I still have the issue with "unable to query name availability" but it seems you guys are stuck at a step before this one.

I had to make sure I opened things up for maria db. for my system it was on a different drive but i followed one of akka's posts:

"If you're having MYSQL path issues (Update script), make sure you set your path to the correct value. Make sure you're only adding this, not erasing the rest of the path variables

i followed the instructions to add maria DB to the list
then i followed other instructions

run cmd and cd to the directory of your server

then in the cmd window run the "eqemu_server.pl" file

worked like a charm for me

I had to restart my pc a few times and update a few times but now the server is up and running and it recognizes the bot commands (prior to this they werent even recognized as commands for me)

but now i cant create the bots due to the name issue.
