Having problems spawning bot's question

Have the latest version of the EQEmu server and can't spawn bot's I assume you have to use the newer bot commands I tried that with no luck. Any help would be appreciated I can only play solo and bot's would be allot of help.

I know I'm asking the obvious but... Did you have it compile with bots enabled?

I have been out of the loop for years so bare with me here, I most likely don't have compile enabled could you point me in the right direction I tried to find it with no luck.

I have the server installed already and am able to log into the game and play I just can't spawn bot's I'm missing a simple step I'm sure.

That's most likely what I need to do and that might be over my head will see.

That seems to be the case I did read the instructions on the bot installation Is there any installer out there that already has the bot's installed, The instructions go above what I capable of doing.

Well Basically if you used Akka's installer it comes with a file called eqemu_server.pl
make sure the server is off and open that.
It will give you some prompts and one of them is new_server_with_bots
and also setup_bots.
One does the exe's ect and the other is to add them to your Database.
Keep in mind it may wipe any characters you made ect.
Honestly since it is a fresh server don't be afraid of messing something up.
It can always be fixed one way or another.

Than you for the info I did not use AKKa's installer I will try to find it use the installer I knew it had to be out there some where.

I found eqemu_server.pl but it won't open I can open it in notepad but that does not help. Any ideas? when I click on it nothing happens.

open a command prompt
go to the search button in windows and type cmd
type: cd c:\eqemu (or wherever eqserver is, eqemu_server should be there too)
type: eqemu_server.pl

from there you'll see it launch, type assets
then follow the prompts... type windows_server_latest_bots
it will download what you need... then close it and try again.

I was able to get the install batch file to execute but I still can't get the eqemu_server.pl file to open, not sure what I'm doing wrong I might install it on C: drive and see if that helps I have it in F: drive at the moment. I do appreciate your help guy's I will keep trying.

I can't get it to install on c: drive it comes up with errors now not sure why, it says error eqemu_server.pl mysql path not found please add patch. Geesh what gives.. not matter what I have tried it comes up the same error.

Go there and its about halfway down. Adding MySQL to PATH Environment Variable in Windows.

Once you do that it should work.
