I read the Readme and looked through quite a few posts before I wanted to post here, but it's 2 in the morning and Im sure that my tired state may have caused me to miss something, anyway

I copied the eqhost info into my EQ directory. I then did Start, Run and typed in the command line :

"C:\Games\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\eqgame.exe patchme"
and hoit return. I got an error message saying the aboe command line couldnt be found. That however is the correct Directory. When I try just eqgame, It tells me to Run Everquest.exe.

When I try EQW I get to the server selection screen, press Return and get an error message saying "Eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience".

Im really lost, but I did put a descent attempt into trying to find an answer before I posted. It's just late, im frustrated (

Thanks

Hmm, read the readme closer. First of all, it's NOT:

"C:\Games\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\eqgame.exe patchme"

If you read a little closer, it says:

"C:\Games\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\eqgame.exe" patchme

Note the placement of the QUOTES, you HAVE to put the quotes in the run box, and you have to put them EXACTLY where they are in the above (2nd) example. And yes, there is a space between the end quote, and the word patchme.

As far as your EQW problems, to make EQW work, go into your everquest folder, find the file named "eqclient.ini" and open it in notepad, inside, there should be a line that says "VideoModeBitsPerPixel=" or something like that, and the number after the "=" is either 16 or 32, if it's 32, change it to 16. Save and close.

Next, right click on your desktop background, and choose "properties", then, in the window that opens, find the tab in the top right corner that says "settings" and click it. Then find where it says "color depth" and if it's 32-bit, change to 16-bit. If it's ANYTHING OTHER THEN 16-bit, change it to 16-bit.

Now run EQW and you will have no problems.
