What Happened Here?

Maybe someone can fill me in, as I have been away for a few years. I came back recently to see what has been happening in this emulation community. Most forum posts are people trying to recover account information...and not much else. I joined the Discord...for maybe 2 minutes...and left. The Discord didn't have any meaningful chatter...or chatter I could see at all. I thought that maybe I need to pick some roles for myself...but every link to pick a role says DENIED. So this makes the Discord looks dead, but it says there are a bunch of people online. Thanks to the channels that show people joining and leaving, I see that many others came to the same conclusion and quickly left after joining.

Discord is where all of the primary communication is, nearly all development goes through there, the forums are more historical.

But like I stated, the Discord seems broken. There are 2 voice channels and then the welcome/leaving channels. No regular channels listed. The choosing of roles isn't working with permission denied.

You need to react to the welcome channel to be added to the appropriate channels
