This is for newcomers that may be looking at installing a server.

As anticipated, much of the PEQ services and resources were taken offline after midnight.

Not just the project development site and server, but the maps repo and database dump site are gone as well. The EQEmu source code and quests repo is still there for (any) developers that may be planning to still work on them. If there are other arrangements for hosting the database and maps, I assume someone would have to come up with an updated "installer" with new links. Otherwise, The only option is "old school" manual installs.

The support docs site (docs.eqemu.io) has been taken down, as one would notice by the dead links for it on the main page here, so if you're someone who is looking for info/help on installing a server, your best bet is to seek out whatever discord is going to be running now and who is on there, offering help.

This shakeup is not something that put nails in a coffin for the project, but it will take some diligent re-organizing to move forward with it.

PEQ is up and still has all the player data from September 30th. Point your eqhosts file to login.eqemulator.net. I've not finished setting up the Discord or forums yet.

couldnt happen to better people lol

who would have thunk making a gm guild was a bad idea, or leapfrogging people and training them then banning them for your own train, or banning people for saying the gms cheat when they invul to the raid target you're fighting and #kill'ing it.

its almost like it runs it into the ground, but again couldnt have happened to better people.

Hi maudigan, Hi sorvanni, Hi bobfaqski!
