I was playing my 3 box this morning and everything was fine. I logged them all out for 15 minutes and when logging back in, one of my accounts flagged a username/password error. Note that this is a mature account I have using for over a year.

To remedy this, I went to eqemulator.org and submitted a password change which went through successfully. I then changed the generated password to one of my own choosing. However (and here's the rub) I have received no verification email. I tried to set up SMS verification but without the account being verified in the first place, you cannot do that.

So I am at an impasse with this account. I don't want to create another account because this one has several characters spread over several emulators with a significant investment in playing time.

I would like to receive my verification email (and yes I have checked spam etc but I have never had problems receiving email from eqemulator to gmail account). I would also like to understand why the arbitrary change to my account without notification.

UPDATE: I found the post directing me to the verification request and I managed to verify the account.

Don't suppose you could point me to the thread you're referencing? I'm having the same issue since this morning and can't find anything!

Same issue, worked for weeks up till last night, exact same credentials today, and getting Invalid Password error on all my accounts.

You need to change your eqhost.txt. For some reason mine got changed. You want to select the entry for the emulator you are using. A # as the first character means that line is commented out.

Yes, our server admin notified us of that. However in our case (AscendantEQ), it's a workaround, not a fix. It will get changed each time there's a patch. He's assuming incorrectly that there's a discrepancy between our credentials here and his server. I'm using the exact same ones. Anyway, I copied the file that works and placed it on my desktop. After each patch, I'll have to paste it into the working directory.
