maybe its just a problem with me, i'm not quite sure, or maybe its because EQEmu is very glitchy, which i'm not saying it is, just a thought, but i think the biggest problem with EQEmu is not being able to find a stable server. when i say stable i mean, don't get disconnected, all the zones work (not even sure if its possible), and basically, you can just run around like you would in real EQ and do what you want. what i've experienced is EQ randomly closing when on an Emu server, it crashing when i go into some zones and then not being able to log my character back in (granted it is a hacked character, but its just a pain in the ass), and servers not letting me to connect to begin with. now i am in no way bashing EQEmu, i love it, i just wish it would work good, which it isn't right now, please let me know what you think or let me know if i'm the only one with these problems, if so, how to fix them. thank you :-D

First, as you said, this is Emu so :
- its no "hacked" characters or files or servers
- its still in dev
So that means :
- unstable (pretty stable most are pb between clients and servers or clients wanna access unavaible zones)
You want to fix it ? I cant tell you to go play EQlive since its as much instable *cough* but there is a customer service
otherwise, get in here and help in the dev of the emu.

Think you can make a server where its stable and run 100s of zone servers so there all up? Do you want to devote a good computer to being a server once you have the DB/quests up and basically never use that computer again? Then deffinetly do it! Can you code C++? Then get in the dev team and fix those problems. Another idea is become a supporter. If you want better play then you can always pay the 12 dollars a month for EQLive and stop bashing (yes you pretty much were) something that people devote a lot of there time to for free. The reason I have not donated something is that money has been kind of tight this year (I had some lucent) but I really hope you can get more donations Hogie.

i'm sure i said this many times in the first post, i was not bashing it, was just wondering if these problems were just me...how monsterous of a computer would it take to run a complete EQ world?

Stable, all zones running, and not much lag would not even be one computer. Sony or whoever runs the everquest servers have many servers for 1 world server. If you want to turn your house/basement into a server farm then go ahead. Buy about 10 computers (best you can get) and go from there I guess if you hate the stableness so much. And saying your not bashing EQEmu is like me throwing my TV out the window and cursing at it because the **** rose parade re runs were on instead of my show and yet I was not bashing the rose parade or my TV was I?
