View Full Version : crash after char screen on my own live server

i keep crashing after the toon screen, it acts like its loading then bamm im back to the server select. ive updated the server and db.
it all works with i run it on my lan. but not if i post it live. my patch for eq is correct for i can use other servers.

im have my server on the same pc im useing eq. i have had this to work before. but i had a pc crash had to fix all back. im wondering since im useing a 36k connection for that is the best dialup i can get.

Is 'toon' French for character or something? I keep seeing everyone calling characters 'toons'

Nah, we used to say that on EQlive. its allways kinda stuck. Lot faster to type "toon" then "Charactor"

toon has been used to refer to online characters in several games.

Regarding the original question, it has been suggested it is related to the servers internet upload speed being too slow. See my sig for a link to the original message.
