Really Sad that Khoung is an Asshole

I just wanted to say that it's really sad that Khoung is a complete and utter asshole. I had high hopes from EQEmu and had intended to support it fully, up until Khoung logged into Forever Hacking calling everyone on the server a nigger in /broadcast and talking about how he hated white and black folks. I let him know I was offended by this and thought he was a moron and I was banned from the server shortly after. I really had intended to give EQEmu my full support, which being who I am probably could have been a great asset to the organization. I have not met Khoung before this event, but I would go as far as saying perhaps the ddos attacks have something to do with his retardation and lack of human socialization skills. I am seriously considering having the EQEmu auctions removed from Player Auctions as I do not see why I should help support EQEmu if the team cannot even keep a loose cannon from making racial slanders on the most popular EQEmu server, while representing it as a Lead GM. Also the EQEmu auctions break the sites EULA, so, they are at this point hanging in there by a very thin string. I will wait for a response from someone on the EQEmu team that perhaps has better PR skills that Khoungs dumb ass.

We don't support having EQEMU auctions. That's dishonest. If you paid for anything EQEMU, report it to Hogie - he will attempt to shut down the person who charged you. Please continue to use EQEmu - it's free. Just use the standard servers. Using the "pay" ones is probably the exact same as the "free" ones, and I assume in some cases, WORSE. They should all be free. Hardy and ManJones, Drawde, and Lurker_005 all do excellent work for free, all to ensure that the content is close to par with Everquest live. They do great work. (forgive me, Divide and others, for not recognizing your excellent work as well, but I forget all the players :? )

As for Khuong being a jackass, you're very right. He might try to punish me for saying it, but I think he takes pride in being one. Don't take offense to it - he's a jackass and easy to ignore. His punishments are usually temporary. I think everyone will back me up that he's a sort of Loki :twisted: character, stirring trouble up. He's not malicious, just apathetic of other people.

Really, Hogie needs to be the one to properly respond to this.

But, here are my thoughts.

1) I agree, it was juenvile and stupid, and pointless, and it would have annoyed me also..

2) Forever Hacking is Khoungs server, he can pretty much do anythng he wants there.

3) If you judge the entire effort by your one interaction with Khoung of all people, then you've definately being a bit reactionary.


We dont tell people how to run their servers, the development project just writes the code to make it possible. You are perhaps placing blame on the entire project due to the actions of one person, that is a shame. The matter is really between you and Khoung, as he owns the server in question, but as I said, it's not really within the devlopment teams power to regulate lewd conduct on an indivuduals server.

This ain't the 1st time someone has complained about him, I have seen numerous posts about him, so I have pretty much just tried to stay away from him, I also don't even play on that server. The posts was a while ago, so I figured maybe he calmed down or got smarter, but after reading this....i was wrong.

Can't something be done about Khoung? I was under the impression that the Forever Hacking server was run by this web site and was the main server. Khoung is the one with the auction on Player Auctions selling his service to tell someone about how to play EQ for free.. kinda an oxymoron. It say's in his server /motd that his server and the site are connected. I was only playing on forever hacking because it seems to be the server that's usually mostly populated. I had no idea it was just run by some Jerk off that decided to name his server Forever hacking. Oh well anyway, maybe Karma will come around and bite that rasist prick right in the ass. In the mean time I'll look around for another 24/7 server to make a char on. Sorry for jumping to conclusions about Khoung being associated with EQEmu, I just thought he was part of your team. :)

How do you know it is khuong that is on Player Auctions selling those guides? That 'business' is called "Undergroundguides.com". This is a 'business' in Colorado, US. khuong comes from Toronto, Canada... We do not see a penny from those auctions. Now, there is 1 auction I do have on PlayerAuctions for my services setting up the server, but it is all layed out in the auction.

The servers go through ups and downs. Freedom Alliance use to be the best server. It is now just coming back online after moving for a month. Gotfrags was the first popular server we had, but it has been down for almost a year since Pyrotek has been too busy to maintain it. The Forever Hacking server is hosted at my house, and is used as a development machine (even Quagmire has a zone he runs from his house linked to it when we are bug tracking).

I will have a talk to khuong. He has been getting out of hand lately with his racial remarks. He was suppose to be part of the team ( more than what he does now, which is nothing but run FH and he doesn't do that very well imho ), maybe he will grow up some.

I was refering to the server setup deal on PA for 175 bucks. When I had mentioned it in game Khoung made it sound like it was his deal and that I would ruin EQEmu if I removed that auction. Sounds to me like Khoung does more harm than good, I will be satisfied to know when he is finially put in his place and Hogie if you remove his GM powers on Forever Hacking, I'd really love to continue playing my monk there, since Forever Hacking seems to have a mob and item database like no other server, no to mention that it seems like it's the only one ever populated at night. I'm really not trying to stir up trouble here, I know things are difficult for everyone and I can appreciate all of the hard work people put into this, but when someone like Khoung comes on disrespecting the few new supporters that EQEmu has, he should be removed from any leadership position as he represents what the server stands for. I really appreciate all of the responces from everyone. I can tell that what Khoung did was not endorsed by anyone and that Khoung seems to be skating on thin ice. Thanks

Actually, this is my auction. I am auctioning off my services. That money would go right back into funding this project. Honestly, I am tired of paying out of pocket for everything. So far this year, I have not had to, but the donations are all gone now, so I will have to again.

I honestly think for $150 - $175 setup fee, a professional installer + good database + knowing it will work for you and your friends or your money back, is a good price. Of course, you could always try to get support from here which can be hit and miss at times.

Just because I run/own the hardware of FH does not make me an administrator. I let the people run it as they see fit. I have asked him to turn it down, and he as agreed, but I still can not police him.

It would be like me giving control of the website to you, then as 1 or 2 people complain, I remove it and run it myself. That would just not be the thing to do. Afterall, ForeverHacking is his work. The people are working for him that help create spawns/quests/items and help run it (The GMs).
