this sounds like a fun get away when EQ is pissing me off lol.. but i cant seem to get anything to work right =(...

i log on to the server selection screen but whenever i try to join a server it get booted back to the login screen.. anyone help me ? :)

Have you recently patched to the latest EQlive version, as in, have you downloaded the LoY files?

Yesm i did get the LoY files.. means im shit outta luck for a while? =\

No, just means you need to replace some files, ive been up all night, its like 5:57am, I need sleep.

Theres a solution around hte forum somehwere, if I was wake enough i would go find it for you.

So if someone doesnt answer this byt the itme im awake, ill help you out.

This should work, if the only problem is the LoY files. Also, all you have to do to get EQlive working again, is patch it.

1. First, go here, http://www.eqemu.net/index.php?patcher and download the EQemu patcher program if you havent already.
2. Next, patch EQemu with it.
3. If you don't have EQwindows, get it, here, http://www.eqwindows.com. At least, it just makes life easier.

4. Now, this is where stuff gets different, go here, http://elnounch.narod.ru/ and download that file, EQUI_animations, and unzip it to your EverQuest/Skins/Default folder. (I don't know if distributing this one file is considered warez, as thats not my site, and EQlive just patches right over it)
5. Now, without patching, ANYTHING, run EQw, or another way of running EQ without patching either the EQLive, or EQemu patcher.

This should work, it worked for me at least, by replacing the interface files to one of an older EQ version. I suggest saving the EQUI_animations file, as I'm not sure if its warez, and could be taken off the web someday.

Run over to

download this program (or use the linux equivalent tcpdump). Install it, and collect logs for us of creating a character, logging in, and zoning and running around like a fool with a level one grabbing data to help us fix eqemu to work with the latest round of clients!

Please send all logs to dev@eqemu.net

All are welcome to participate, the more data we have, the faster we will be able to churn out a fully eqLive compatible version of eqemu in the near future.

(Also, try to split logs up as possible. Character creation/logging in. Combat. Merchant Interaction. etc. Name the log files so we can quickly identify them when you submit them. Thanks again!)

Try servers that say 4.3DR2 and, if it doesn't work, then 4.2.

I had a problem a little while ago where I couldn't log on 4.3DR2 servers, but it seems to have mysteriously fixed itself. o_O
