Is it possible to breakup the zones in EQ? I'll give two examples and hopefully someone can explain if either is possible.

1. To keep the server small. Lets say I want to keep my server to 10 or so zones. Would it be possible to lets say start in Qeynos and then allow players to visit Blackburrow, the Karanas, ect.. But within the Karana's the entrance from SK to Lake Rathe would be gone. The East Karana Zone to High Pass and Gorge of King Xorb would be clsoed as well. This would allow people to play throughout Qeynos, Qeynos Hills, Blackburrow, Everfrost, Surefall, North, West, South, East Karana and no further. Is this possible?

2. This is a little more complex. How about changing where zones link to? For Example lets say the link from EK that goes to High Pass might be altered to link to West Commonland, or Lets say the link from Qeynos Hills to West Karana is changed to link to North Karana. Is this possible? I'm just curious. It might make for some cool alterations to the surface world.

Yes, this would all be possible by editing the zone_points database.

Yes, Winter's Roar already did that, and it worked fine.

You can move around zones to anywhere you want, as in, you can set it, so that by leaving Qeynos North through the zonepoint that would usually lead to Qeynos Hills, it instead, takes you to West Karana, or any other zone you set it too.

As for changing where inside a zone, you can zone somewhere else I'm not sure, I haven't seen it done yet, or maybe I have, and just don't know.

You can remove the actual zones from the database table. Then when someone tries to do a #zone blah it won't work because it won't exist in the zone table.
