Please do not take offense to this, but if you do not know what you are doing enough to even move files around, then you should not be trying to host a server until you do know.

My advice is simple here. The information you seek is in the Readme, the FAQ and all over the Boards. There is an excelent set of directions in the Tutorials section as well.

You should start with browsing he forums and reading up on everything you can. Take notes while you do it.

Then move on to reading the FAQ and Readme again. Do that a few times. You need to be familiar with them before you start.

Then give it a try. But do it a step at a time, using the Readame's as guides.

Then if you blow it up, take the time to troubleshoot it. Use the search function of the boards.Its that link up above that says 'search'. See if you can find the answer and see if you can apply it.

Theen, and only then, when you can not fix it should you post for help. And ask in clear concise but highly detailed questions, including not only what the problem is, but how you got it and what you have done to fix it, and the responses that your machine gave you.

Trust Me... You will be better for it...

Type it exactly like this:

"C:\Program Files\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

Notice patchme is outside the quotes.

... is using EQW...

I find i much better - Even with multiple consoles I like teh ability to ctrl+alt+r my way out to work on something else and then come back to it.

And it goes around the patcher for you.

I would say that you should do a select all, copy, and then paste the thing here so we can see what it looks like.

Can not troubleshoot with ESP...

[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin2.eqemu.net:5999"
}
Thats whats written. It says Host was not found. Check to see if EQHOST.TXT exists in the Everquest directory. I checked and it is located there and I have the above in eqhost.txt.
