Hey,

This topic follows one of my previous questions about how to turn on mob "aggressivity" (which is a parameter found in the "variables" table that has to be set to 6).

Now, just doing that doesn't fix the mobs. They are still passive. My understanding (thanks to the 2nd reply from my previous post) is that factions aren't converted / working with the 4.3 database.

Could someone explain which tables / fields need to be modified in order to make a mob aggressive? I have assigning faction 133 (Ghoul) to all NPCs, yet they are still not attacking. Is it that they won't attack if your status is 200?

If someone could clarify if this is at all possible / working at the time being, I think it would be useful for all of us.

they wont attack if you are GM, unless you attack first.
but I also noticed in 4.3 MOBs do not aggro. in 4.2 it worked fine. havent checked how to fix that yet.

Alright, then if someone can tell how to make mobs aggro on 4.3 (database/table/variables), that would be dandy!

Would also like to know this.. i've been trying to get mobs to attack me, but i cant seem to get any factions below "dubious". I have been testing with the "Freeport Militia Faction".. using all kinds of values, but they are always dubious.

Can someone write a "n00b howto set factions" guide for me? hehe.. I am using telmet's db's and the latest 4.2 eqadmin tool.

Tips?

Hello,

I have the same problem, I cant (or i dont know how to) change the faction and aggressivity.
my configuration
Eqemu 0.4.3
Data base Telmet 0.4.4 + fix faction http://forums.eqemu.net/viewtopic.php?t=6349&highlight=fixfaction
Eqadmin 4.2
I have try many configuration but i cant get aggro the mob are always dubiously.
If someone can make a little "How to" configure faction and aggressivity that can be welcome.

Thx in advance.

did you try the following in-game command:
#gm on/off - Turns your GM flag on or off (Green name)

4.3 introduced a new way of determing faction data, theres a new template table for it. What you need to do is make a default faction in the new table, and assign the npc_type to that npc_id template.

Currently, no databases (that I know of) incorporate this new format. Drawde will be releasing his very soon, and he uses the updated faction system.

I am currently using Drawde's database now.. and the spawns that was set up with "his" db, does indeed attack when they are supposed to (eg. Orcs in WFP)..

So.. i added a lot of other spawns by importing from Telmet's spawn database, and have tried some fiddling around in the eqemuadmin tool.. I tried set the spawns in Velketor's lab to the orc faction, and when i kill them i get a faction message. Killed loads, and got the "could not possibly be worse" message, but still only dubious..

Hmm.. Recon i will wait for someone with know how to do this.. hehe.. Tips welcomed tho..
