Ok-Its a 1017 Error with a Twist

Hey, I've been trying to get on an EQEmu site for the last few
days with no success. I started with an EQ install and patched
it until I could log on to my EQ account normally, I then backed
this directory up. Then I patched the (in my case)
d:\program files\everquest directory with the eqpatcher program.
Then I downloaded the eqw executable to be able to run it
in windowed mode. Placed a copy of the new eqhost file in
the d:\program files\everquest directory and started the eqw
program or "everquest patchme" both methods result in a 1017
with the program returning to the login server. I have registered
a username and password (mentioned just in case)
I'm at a bit of a loss, I'm including a section of the dbg file created
when everquest runs, it has a strange message about not receiving
a message and "bailing" lol.....Anyway any help would be super
appreciated.
