i would like to fix/ put together an items db but can not find any info here about how the stuff work i have down loaded telmuts db from 1/19/2003? and have found it to be the largest so far... but i keep getting errors when i try to load it, rangeing from bad column count ...to unknown command '\0\' i might be able to fix this if i could under stand a little more about how the data is put together... can anyone help......thanks

Well, if you are using the most recent EQEMU version there have been structure changes to the underlying databases.
If you look in the databases topic in this section you should be able to find the link to Telmuts most recent database which is compatible with with the newest EQemu version.
Drawde has stated that he will be soon releasing his new database within the next few days hopefully. When released it should also be compatible.
I am currently using Telmuts and I have almost 29,000 items listed in that database

i have telmuts...thats the one that keeps comming back with the errors.......it has 28,416 items in it . i would like to fix it but i have not been able to find any info on the format of these dbs......i see some words and numbers ( this part i can figure out ...sorta) followed by a hole bunck of \0 s ... this is the part that i dont understand.....

I think it'd be much easier to edit the items with EQAdmin (look on the main page for the link, but I recommend v4.2, I get a lot of errors using 4.3 with telmut's db), since it is a GUI representation of all that text info.
As for the errors, when you build the database make sure you use the db.sql included in telmut's zip, not the one that comes with eqemu.

If you're seeing errors with 4.3, PLEASE POST THEM under 3rd Party Tools. I can't fix errors If I don't know what they are :?
