Legit Servers on eqemu?

Ok... I realize that im probably going to get some people pissed but:

I joined eqemu around 0.2.2 and played until about 0.3.1 during this time I played exclusively on image's server it was amazingly fun mainly just summoning the best gear you can find and playing pvp or killing some big mob.

Ok now onto my point when i came back the server list was full of legit servers and it wasnt any fun at all; my question is what is the point of playing legit servers on eqemu? I can see mabie using it as a free way of playing eq if the db was nearly complete but from what i have seen its too far from it atm to realy work.

So i guess what im getting at is what attracts people to legit servers so much? :?:

well actually most of the servers that even have a few people on, are NONLEGIT servers (legit servers suck, forever hacking, etc.) so i don't really know what you're talking about

I think we can all agree that after about 4 days of a non legit server it just plain gets boring. There is no sense of accomplishment, and your items mean nothing to you. There is never that feeling of reaching a certain level you have been waiting so long to get or raiding with your best friends and killing a really hard mob.

I think once all the bugs and stuff get worked out on the Legit servers they will be more populated. The non legit servers mainly attract people who play EQlive right now and want an escape to be uber for a little while or just to relax and have fun. But whenever Endless Time comes back i suggest playing on it if your looking for a legit server.

I agree there is little point to playing legitimately at this moment but after about a week or two of getting whatever you want (minus some items on ForeverHacking) on LEGIT SERVERS SUCK or Dexter's EQ Server it is fun to play on servers like Halls of Paranor or the upcoming Vah Sharith server. It gives a new challenge to the game, to see if your skills on non-legit servers transfer to fully legit servers.
